I got scared to death tonight.......

Well my AMOS family, my fellow JUNEBUGS.... i had a nice scare tonight and had to phone the doctor. OF course my luck mine wasnt the one on call but had to. HAD steak tonight, left over from last night what i couldnt eat. I have some good luck with steak some unluck. Well tonight i got that stuck pain, feeling the food rub all the way down...hurting....and it happened when i had some corn. ANYWAY.....i felt uncomfortable, had to stop eating...and go toss up...the first attempt was good got the froth and some of the food...was starting to feel better. WENT about things then had to go in the bathroom again...and this time saw blood in my throw up and it scared me. I didnt eat anything today that color....and then tasted the taste in my mouth....i was scared. THE on call doctor phoned me said no more food tonight, only liquids take my tums and dont concern unless i have more vomiting and alot more blood. THIS scared me didnt know what to do. PROBABLY the steak or maybe the corn rubbed and scrapped as it went down causeing a cut. BUT so far all is fine the TUMS settled the rest of my tummy. AND i seem okay. JUST wanted to share in case this happens to anyone else scared me to see this. JUST wanted to share. LISA 310/233/onederland somewhere?

That would have scared me too.. I am so glad you are okay. I have tried steak and it went down well, but after you posted this I will be even more careful. Thank you for letting us know.. Carla

OH you poor thing what your mind must have been doing. Picturing a ruptured suture somewhere.. not fun for you! Thank you for the info and hope you see to more trouble in the toilet. ;)

OH my GOSH That would scare me too! You had RNY same date as me! I wouldn't think we could have blood/scaring/opening/tearing... this far out from post-op. OH my. In my thoughts, best wishes

HEY guys....so far so good thanks for the kind posts yes i was scared thats why i phoned my surgeon. OF course i got an on call doctor but better then nothing. I think either the corn i ate or the steak scraped going down and caused the blood thats what the doctor seemed to think I probably didnt chew something well enough and when i felt the pain with a mouthful going down i might have cut something slightly.... of course i had a guest for dinner, probably wasnt paying attention dont really know but so far no more tossing up. I am going to eat pureed type foods today to be certain. THANKS AGAIN MY FRIENDS LISA

Hi Lisa I'm so glad that everything is ok. That would have scared me too! I haven't tried steak yet, but I will certainly keep your incident in mind for when I do. Thanks for sharing.
