Depression or Blah's

My bariatric center and the psychologist who did my pre-surgery testing told me that estrogen is stored in fat in the body. As we loose weight, estrogen is released into the blood stream and can cause depression. I was concerned about this, so far so good but something we should all be aware of... It doesn't have to be that we aren't coping well with something, it can be this process. Just wanted you all to know in case you didn't. We don't have to suffer. If you feel the blah's for long, I think you should talk to your doctor. No? Good luck everyone! Jo

Hey WOW... thanks... I just boo-hooed today... silly reason. My neighbor was unhappy that my fence was too low. He complained that his dog jumped over "my" fence. The fence is over on his line, installed by the nice previous neighbor. Excuse me? Did I hear that right? Hey... his dog, his fence, so why is he griping at me? His gate opens to our backyard... many times have stated he and his children are welcome to come and go as he pleases... The dog? doesn't bother me a bit... I pet him when I can... Ain't my fault the dog... (Guess the dog's name... come on guess the name... Hint, dog's name is the name of a famous male singer, Hint, singer had a hit song ... HOUND DOG, hint, look at my city, ELVIS? Can I help it that the dog likes me more? Jeepers... and I cried for an hour... Gotta get a grip on this stuff.

Funny you posted that! I've been having serious hot flashes! I'm only 30 and had been on Depo injections for birth control for 8 years. I guess it's the estrogen being released!
