I can't decide if i am just lazy or have no energy. I have forced myself to do some housework because i was starting to drowned in laundry. I feel like i could sleep 24 hours a day and not get groggy. Although i have 5 foster kids right now 8 yr 4 yr 2yr and 15 mo TWINS. I know i can't keep up with their energy... but trying to keep clean after them seems to be a lossing battle. Anyone else have lower energy or desire? I can't decide if it is depression, desire, laziness, my first period after surgery or if i have a legitimate issue with energy level... just seems to easy to blame it on the surgery. So i was curious if anyone else has the same issue?? Any suggestions besides protein and water?

Sorry to hear you are not feeling up to pare. My doctor said by my next visit I would start to feel tired and I am a little. On my next visit which is Wednesday I get my first B-12 shot. Are you getting those monthly? I will get them each month. Talk to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon. Laural

Paula my doctor wants everyone to get the B-12 shots. I had the option of give them myself or coming into the office. I decided to keep coming into the office partly because they can keep track of my losses and if I have any questions they can answer them. Laural

Paula, I think the lack of energy is a normal thing. I was in a funky mood last week and was telling my friend how disappointed I was. I thought once I was all healed I would have all this energy and it isn't there. I still have to force myself to get off my butt and be productive. I have started to go swimming 3 times a week and that has seemed to help a little. Best of luck to you, Lisa

I just had all my blood work checked this monday and everything is fine. Doctor said it is par for the course with rapid weight loss and reduced calories. I was curious if i was the only one having issues.

I felt the SAME exact way the past two weeks. I had blood work at the Doctor's and all was o.k.I wrote down everything I ate and drank and consulted with the nutritionist. That seemed to be ok with her. I had to do something so I changed my vitamins to Tropical Oasis liquid multi vitamin and minerals and Tropical Oasis Liquid Calcium Magnisium I then went to bariatriceating.com and ordered some ISOPURE protein drink (also sold at GNC) with zero carbs and 40 grams of protein. AND yesterday and today I finally have energy I understand exactly what you are going though. You may want to check with the doctor to be on the safe side. Hang in there the energy will come back joni

Paula, I'm almost 8 weeks postop and I was experiencing the same thing. Get up in the morning after 9 to 10 hours of sleep, and within 3 or 4 hours I was ready for a nap. No energy. I'm able to swallow whole pills now; I assume you are also. Prior to the surgery I used to take vitamin supplements separately, including B-100 Complex. My doctor approved me taking it again---it has made a world of difference! One a day with a meal. I would only buy the capsules though---much easier to assimilate. Really, if your doctor gives it the thumbs up, try it---I think you'll see a big difference. B complex is also good for nerves and general feeling of well-being. If you're deficient it could lead to depression. Hope this helps. Sharon
