I eat a peanut butter protein ball for snacks and have no problem.
Here is the recipe.
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup unflavored protein powder
1 cup old fashioned rolled oats -- not the instant kind
1/2 cup honey. There is a sugar free honey available if this is a problem.
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
2-3 tablespoons cocoa powder
Mix together and add enough water to bring to the consistancy of a thick cookie dough. Divide into one ounce portions (about one heaping teaspoon,) roll into balls or logs and store in closed container such as ziplock baggies in the refrigerator.
Makes about 26 balls. Each one is about 5 grams protein.
I do not have a problem with the fat or the sugar but nothing seems to bother me except popcorn and deep fried breaded shrimp.
