Calmer since not eating sugar?
Has anyone noticed this? People are telling me my demeanor has completely changed since WLS. I attribute it not eating any sugar. Not that I was a sweet freak before, but at work I snacked a lot on candy. Our office manager made sure the office was stocked with Good & Plenty, M & M's, licorice ropes, etc. And the entire office was overweight---I never understood that...
Anyway, I think I like the no-sugar lifestyle if calmness is a side benefit! Don't even miss it!
Speaking of-----is anyone absolutely totally craving PIZZZZZAAAAA????!!!
Oh my God! Every pizza commercial I see drives me crazy!
I too crave pizza. I have tried it a few times. I do OK, but I usually just eat the cheese and toppings. It isn't as good as I remember. If you are craving it, I say try it. The cheese has lots of protein, just don't eat too much of the crust.
Anyway, I have noticed that I don't feel as scatterbrained, I also realize now how much being preoccupied with eating before surgery took up so much time.
I don't get headaches daily like I use to, and I don't get the energy highs and lows, just stay about normal. It is so nice! I attribute this to no more sugar, too.
