Hello again all, Well Im starting week 7 post op and all of my pain finally went away.......until today. Last night coming home from work on the bus.. some asshole decides to run across the street while the bus was moving full speed. Well I was standing up and this bus stopped short suddenly and real fast. My body was jerked forward and then backwards, of course I was holding on. Now I wouldn't have thought that much about it until I woke up today with a little discomfort in my left side... you know where the "big" incision is. I'm not thinking of it as excruciating pain however it is now a real bother because I have a feeling I've ripped something apart inside and its gonna be curtains for me. I called up the doc and all I was told was wait on it to see how it feels in a day or so. If the pain gets worse, then go in, otherwise, don't worry. Has anyone experienced something like this? I'm not talking near bus accident, but violent sudden movement which caused something not quite right. Thanks all, Nick

Wow Nick, I am sorry this happened to you. I haven't had this happen but I wanted you to know that I think it is weird that they didn't have you come in... Pain is pain and usually signals something is going on, no? Anyway, if it gets worse, call em back! Good wishes and keep us posted! Jo

Hi there, It sounds like you could have pulled a muscle. The doctor is probably waiting to see if the pain is muscular or dietary. I don't know why they wait! It seems rediculous to me.. you know, they have lots of patients, but we only have ONE us!! So, if you think the pain is worthy, go to the ER!! The only thing I can compare it to, is that when I walked into my house from the surgery, it was day THREE, my huge black lab jumped up to say hello, and OF COURSE, his big paws went RIGHT onto the same spot you are speaking of! I got kind of scared, but the pain did subside soon after. Don't take chances, though!! Not to sound like a "mother hen" but get checked if you have ANY fear or anxiety about it! Good luck, and let us all know how you are!! Rossana

Surgery or not you would probably be hurting, but sorry that happened to you. My pain is always on my left side. What is right there anyway? My doc told me not to worry about it, but if is still around for my 3 mos check up I was gonna fuss.
