I couldn't believe it when I got on the scale the other day, I am down 40 lbs, which was my first goal. But it seems as if I am at a stand still right now. I haven't lost any this week. Does anyone have any ideas for meals? My pouch does not like eggs or tuna anymore... and I am running out of ideas and I am not getting enough protein.

Congratulations Christy!! 40 pounds down is GREAT! I had my surgery 2 days before you and I am down 44.5 pounds as of today. I can't wait until I can start exercising to make it come off AND tone up. About the food ideas, I eat low-fat cottage cheese at least once a day. I just put about 1TBLS of Pineapple in with it. I also buy canned or bags of cooked chicken breast and I do different things with that. Like putting a slice of Velveeta Light on the top and melting the cheese in the microwave. I also take the chicken and buy the Chicken Helper Stir Fry that has peas and eggs with it - yummy! Mashed potatoes made with skim milk. Did you know that if you had 3/4 cup of sunflower seed (in their shell), that would be 7 grams of protein?!?! I started with those a couple of weeks ago, just so I could put something with flavor in my mouth. Cream of Chicken soup is good too! With that chicken, I also sprinkle about a 16th of a tsp of Garlic Salt on it and cover it with a slice of Mexican Velveeta - yum! You could even put a piece of steamed broccoli on the chicken before you top with the cheese - AWESOME! Good Luck! Cindy

40 lbs is great and you WILL start losing again. Hang in there! Ideas for protein: Milk - if you can handle dairy - 8 gr/cup (if you can find Simply Smart brand made by Hood 10 gr/cup) I like this because I can get protein, liquid and it's 90 cals/cup. Eggs - have you tried Eggbeaters? 6 gr per 1/4 cup -- I like to do one scrambled egg with about 2 T grated cheese wrapped in a LF flour tortilla (15-17 gr. protein) Cottage Cheese - I like the Light n Lively brand - perfect serving size and it has 11 gr for 4 oz. Fish - 2 oz of Flounder Fillet is 11 grams - I like this broiled and served with mashed potatos. Hope that helps! Penny
