For the first time since surgery, I had plans to go out on Saturday night. I ironed all of my clothes, took my shower and put on my clothes then looked in the mirror and that is when it all started.....My clothes were huge...hanging off of me. I was excited at first until I realized none of my clothes fit me. I had nothing to wear. I am very upset but excited all at the same time. I started crying and the BF wanted to know what I was crying for...He said he thought I was happy to have had the surgery and now I am crying because my clothes don't fit. He says I make no sense to him. He is confused completely!!! Does any of this sound familiar to anyone else? As of today I am finally down 40lbs. and tons of inches. Have a great week everyone! WOW that must have been awesome to say for the first time that clothes didnt fit cause they were tooooo BIG! THATS a wow motivating moment in my eyes. I keep going shopping in my closet for smaller clothes, its such a wonderful feeling to be shrinking. ALL THE BEST LISA

that really is great shelley! i sort of know how ya feel. i don't have many clothes to begin with. now some are getting to big and a lot of my tops are HUGE! but i can't afford to go out and buy new clothes. makes me upset! i have even thought about going to consignment shops to try to find some stuff that might be cheaper, and i can't even afford to do that right now. but you are doing great! keep up the good work! hugs~mary jo

Many thrift stores have sales where you can get a grocery bag full of clothes for a coule of bucks. Keep an eye out for them. Salvation Army has some good sales. Also it may not hurt to take advantage of the clothign exchange on here as well. Although i don't know how it works... but it sounds free. Paula 344/299/150

Whip out a sewing machine and start taking things in if you can't afford new ones. I would suggest thrift stores as well. They have some great sales and you will be going through clothes so fast it is not woth spending a great deal of money of stuff. Keep shopiing thrift stores and when they have good sales buy stuff in a bunch of different sizes that i have gathered. I have made size tabs in my closet just like they have in the stores. And i have a full selection of sizes. It then becomes more fun to watch and see what size range you can get into next. That and then you are not stuck with nothing to wear ever. My friend who had the surgery does the thrift store thing all teh time. She found a sale for dress pants for 1 a peice and she bought all they had in the different sizes so she had things for work. It maybe time to start stockpiling a few things in lower sizes. My problem is i have been weargin sizes that were too small for me for so long that i have not really gone down in sizes yet. And that is depressing... but the things sure do fit better. Paula 344/299/150
