I have been eating ground meat since like 5weeks out and i have never had a problem..I havent tried any other red meat besides ground meat..I went to the doctors last week and i told him that i was eating ground meat and he said that he prefer that i dont eat red meat just yet and to wait till i was three months. I didnt know that untill now. But I think since i am doing so well with the lean ground beef i will just stick to that on occasion. Chicken doesnt sit will with me also. I hope this helps. Brittany

I had an urge for a piece of steak the other night and so I took a piece and chewed it until it was sawdust, then spit it out, since I was afraid it might make me sick. Was good, but wouldn't want to do in front of other people. Ha ha. Sara

My doctor says not to eat beef or por****il 6 mos out. Also, no seafood, chicken, or turkey till 2 months out. I find that his chart for foods is much slower than most doctors. As well as he told me today I don't have to eat at all for the first 6 mos if I don't want. Just drink protein shakes. I think they do this also for maximum weight loss. But I can't go 6 mos on just protein shakes. However, I am hoping in 2 wks I can tolerate chicken, cuz not much else have I tolerated.

I was told not to have steak or por****il 4 months out. I have had very lean ground beef and ham lunch meat with no problems, as I was told those were ok in soft solids. You could always chew and spit, which is what I've done with things I crave. Even just one bite can be enough to end the craving when you know you've got to just spit it back out. It is gross though.
