Time for an Endoscopy!

Deb, Hi! I was inthe same situation as you. I called my dr and the next two days i had an endoscopy. It does not hurt at all. My dr did find that my esophagus was swollen and starting to form scar tissue where it was not supposed to. so they did do the dialation and i am fine now. He did say something about sometimes people have to have this done once or twice. But i just want to wish you good luck. Brittany

Ok i just got back it wasnt as easy as everyone said I was preped and given a IV then had to drink gargle with some stuff to make my throat numb was give a MILD sedative as i remembered every detail when i was told i would remember very little.. I was closed up and he dialated me i heard his say 18 - not sure what that means, near the end I began to gag like 4 times the nurse told me to concentrae on my breathing I gagged about 4 times at the end then it was done... Throat wasnt sore at all in the end... Now we weill see if I keep things down - maybe now I can get in more than 200 calories a day and make this plateau stop )))
