How much can you eat at a time?
Currently, I attempt to limit my intake to less than 1/4 cup.
I stay hungry - a lot.
I have been very disappointed at the weight loss because it is less than what the weight loss planner on this website would indicate.
Don't regret the surgery, just thought with all this weight would move more quickly with 3 hours at the gym everyday burning about 600-800 calories, not to mention swimming and pilates. I'm tired, hungry, and only lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks..
No SIGNIFICANT loss in inches either...
I weigh my food, never thought I would but it keeps me on track, LOL
When I was doing pureed I could easily do the entire 4 oz, but now that I'm on soft/regular food sometimes all I can eat is 2 oz. Just depends on how dense the food is. Good luck to all.
High W - 250
Surg W - 235
6-30 W - 223
7-13 W - 216
7-21 W - 213
GW - 150
While in the hospital the day after surgury I had an upper GI to check for leaks. I was told to swallow one mouthfull of this chalky stuff and I could see it go down my esophagus on the floroscope. I could see most of the liquid sitting above my pouch and only a small amount going in --even after a couple of dry gulps. This makes me wonder if most of the food I take in is just sitting there waiting for room in the pouch? I am concerned about esophagus damage so I still measure. I am comfortable with 3 oz of steak or chicken if I chew very completely.

hello JO,
I had surgery on June 14th, on 38 days out I had lost 41 pounds. I also asked my doctor about increasing my intake and I was told that I should at 2 oz each meal till I get to my ideal weight. I know if i eat too much I feel pressure on my chest, it does go away after awhile........... so now I know that if I start feeling that I need to stop right away.
I feel great though, it was like a dream come true to finally try to be thin!
feel free to contact me at [email protected] anytime.
take care Pam
