Hi Kelli Jo! When I first told my surgeon that I was only getting in about 40 ounces, he told me that was "not going to be good enough". My "job is to get in 64 ounces of water per day without any excuses. Right now, it is as important as protein, but not as important as getting in all of the food". So, that was a kick in my butt to make it my "daily job". I fill a 1/2 gallon (64 oz) pitcher of water per day in the morning and put it in the fridge. I force myself to drink it all before I go to bed at night, even if it means 4-6 glasses right before bed, which I try to avoid because then I get up all night peeing. With this surgery, I told myself there are rules that I won't allow myself to break. They are: 64 oz water (sometimes as Crystal Light) 60 grams protein vitamins and supplements 3 meals per day (sometimes I slack on this one, but maybe only 1 time per week). Just tell yourself this is your job, your end of the deal: all for you and your success. Hope this helps!

I see my surgeon on Monday. I guess I better get going. I know it is a must to drink more. I just feel so full.
