High protein soup idea
I don't know if anyone else is hooked on soup, but for me it is very filling. I found a way to power pack the protein without a powder. In a coffee mug, I put some split pea or bean with bacon soup (very slightly pureed), a splash of soy milk, and whatever open soup I have that is creamy (mushroom or celery or chicken-Campbells), a teaspoon or so of butter, and some low fat shredded cheddar cheese---about 1/3 cup or more. Put in the microwave on Low for 5 minutes, and presto! A thick, satisfying soup that is packed with protein. Plus you get you essential fatty acids in with the butter.
