Are you regular?
I am not regular...but I really really want to be! I WAS going every 3-4 days....this week I'm on day EIGHT. I'm giving in and doing the suppository thing. I can't take it anymore. My next appt is this coming Tuesday...so I'm asking the doc about it.
The strange thing is, I went on travel for a week and went almost every day while I was gone. I don't know if that's because I was forced to eat more of the "regular" types of foods (still mostly meat) or because we had to walk so much....or if it was the differen****er...I don't know. BUT I WANT THAT BACK! In fact, my scale dropped 4-5 pounds when I weighed myself when I got home! Now that I'm back to NOT being able to go....I've lost one stinking pound in 7 days...and that was only after spending 4 hours in a pool!
((hugs))

I wasn't not regular at first because I was 1) no getting enough water, 2) my body was not accepting dairy products (nor the yellow in eggs), 3) I was trying to eat foods that my stomach was not ready for. To get things back on track, I do my best to sip water at all times other than at meals and at least 30 minutes after meals...I stay away from anything with dairy for now since they seem to make me hurt, and when in doubt...go for the liquids instead of solids since they are easier for our systems to digest.
As long as I stay with the above....I pretty much have the same bowel movements as before WLS.
When I have tried dairy (which I LOVED and did fine with before surgery)....then....my bowel movements hurt and are as - - easy to move on through.
