I have reead on the main board that is is normal to hit a plateau at three weeks. Don't get down. I would try not to focus so much on the scale. I promised my self I would only weigh every two weeks the first year, and once a month after that. You may be losing inches right now. And if you are exercising you may be adding muscle.. As far as being hungry, I get hungry about ebery two or three hours. So good luck to you, hope this helps.

Hi Heather, I'm sorry you're feeling down. I agree with Sandy though 500 calories a day is not enough, protein could be a little more too. It seems weird but our bodies do try to hold on to every little calorie and ounce of fluid when it thinks it's starving. It may be that your body will adjust eventually but right now it's in starvation mode. Try adding another shake or maybe get some unflavored protein powder to add to your soup. It will be easier to add a little variety when you can go to pureeds in a few weeks things like mushed tuna/chicken salad or eggs, cottage cheese are good high protein choices. I also heard of people adding silky tofu to their protein drinks or making smoothies out of it. Just some ideas, we'll get there! Hanan
