New to the forum!
I had my surgery on June 14th in Springfield, Missouri. I was off work 3 weeks and have been back just a few days. I have problems with getting in my protein every day. The first week I got sick from the protein drink and it sure is hard to get past that feeling now. I had an awesome doctor (Dr. Chapman Olive) and his office is also the best. Connie (his nurse) calls me to check on me and make sure everything is going good. I have lost 26.5 pounds so far and have really started walking alot more.
I hope to stay active on the message board just to get the answers to questions that come up every day. You hate to call the doctor's office for every little thing that comes up but I have found answers to some of my questions already from all of you!
Hi Cindy, I'm from Missouri also and had surgery on 6/28/05. I think this is the best website that I have found on the web. Everyone on here is so helpful and cheerful, positive, upbeat, and they provide lots of reinforcement. i love it. I'm on here constantly, and it seems that if I do have a problem, someone else has it or has had it, and I always get an answer or help. Welcome.
Welcome Cindy!! and congratulations on your weight loss of 26.5 pounds I had my Surgery June 27 and I just could not imagine being back at work yet. I still have alot of pain on my Left side. How are you doing back at work? I am scheduled to go back on July 26 but am feeling like I will have to extend it 2 more weeks. Have you tried the Roadside lemmonade? It has 14 grams of protein. The message board is awesome. I have only been a member for about 4 days and everyone is so supportive I love it. I have been blessed with the protein in the fact that I like my Wish Center Drink that has all my vitimin and protein requirments. However, As you will read you are not alone. There are lots of protein ideas at the very top under library.
Bienvenidos
