hi junebugs! boy, all i can say is this last week i have just had no energy. i don't know if it is being back to work, although all i do is sit at a desk all day. and my appetite has been horrible. of course, this is probably why i have been stalled for like the last 4 days. not going to let it get me down though. i just need to get my energy level up and maybe get in some more protein. anyone else having any trouble? hugs~mary jo

MJ, it's been so insanely hot here, it's hard to have the energy for anything except laying in front of the air conditioner! I think our bodies are still adjusting. There are days I could take on the world, and then the next all I do is cat nap! Don't be too hard on yourself, we've been thru alot!

thanks lisa! i am going on tuesday for my next follow-up appt, so i am sure he will be doing bloodwork then. i take an iron and b12 supplement, although we had a blood drive at work and my iron was low-borderline they said, so i ddn't donate. i suppose it could be that. i am still going to tell him about my issues with food lately. i have been on a stall for about 4 days now, but finally went down a pound today. i am sure i am stalling because of not getting enough food. hey is tiredness a sign of retaining water? thanks again hun! hugssss

I have been really tired lately, too. According to my surgeon's website, fatigue can be felt up to two weeks after surgery and will probably last a month. Like you guys, some days I feel like I can do anything and everything! Then there are days like today when I don't want to do anything! This too shall pass! Hopefully soon! Take care!

Had Surgery 5/1/05 and feeling weird. Not necessarily weak, but not strong either. I work out and expend approximately 300-500 calories daily. My intake isn't much more than that... I'm going to not worry about weight loss until July 15th. I'll be worried then if I don't lose any faster. (The Math isn't adding up. My BMR, calories, and energy expended indicates I should be losing more... but hey... we're female and supposedly all this exercise should be creating some muscle... sooo) HOT HOT HOT... Rain from the hurricane should cool things off a bit. Prayers are with those in Florida and Southeast USA. Best Wishes Mary Jo...

WOW, im surprised your working out already. I am really only supposed to be walking right now for excersise. NO GYM workouts. I am surprised your doing so. I feel fine to do it but i know my stomach has to heal to not put me at risk for a hernia. FUNNY how all surgeons are different. I do tread water when i take my kids to the lak so thats more excersise. GOOD LUCK LISA

If you guys are hot, you ought to try it here in the Houston humidity. I walked less than a mile tonight (9:00) and thought I was going to die!!!! I need to join a gym. I'm not allowed to do anything but walk for three months. I sure don't want a hernia. Just walking kicks my butt much less doing anything else. How far are you guys walking? I'm so out of shape it's scary. I get lab work done for the first time tomorrow. I'm anxious to see how I'm doing. My protein was already low in the hospital the day after surgery. They gave me something for it. Hard to believe that I could weigh 340 pounds, eat non-stop, yet be low on protein. Weird huh? Hang in there Mary Jo. I think most of us are still a little weak.
