l~2 slices deli turkey, 9 bbq soy crisps
d~1 1/2 bbq chicken legs
not doing well on liquids today, need to get about 30 more oz, plus hopefully a protein drink...or maybe just a glass of carb countdown choc milk!
how'd you do?
I'm supposed to be on it for four whole weeks and then two weeks of pureed food. It's soooo hard. I feel great! Nothing I've tried has bothered me and it seems most people start much sooner. I asked him why at the 1 week followup and he said because when we start eating we end up calling him in the middle of the night. things make us sick or get stuck or don't feel right. It's easier this way and safer too. I know this sounds terrible but I really think I could pick the right things on my own. I know it's easier to get the protien with the shakes. I'm going to try to continue to do at least two shakes a day and some soft stuff for the other meal.
can't say i blame ya! four weeks? that sucks!!! whatever you try, don't make it anything too tough to chew and then chew like a million times! nothing has made me sick yet, well once, but i think it may have been italian dressing my father put on chicken he was grilling. other than that i do ok. good luck! and never be afraid too come here and ask!
I was on clear liquid a week and have been on full liquids for a week. I can start blended/soft food tomorrow morning. I have to tell you on Friday I needed to chew so I ate some cottage cheese. It was great and it went down fine. I also ate some very mushy mash potatoes. They filled me after a few bites but tasted so good. I can't wait till I start of soft food tomorrow. I'm going to have an egg with some cheese for breakfast and some tuna for lunch. YUM!

I was such a bumm yesterday!! I read Patricia Cornwell's "TRACE"...the entire thing...all day yesterday. My hubby had to force my a$$ off the couch to go for a walk. (It was a GOOD book!)
So ... what did I eat?
I drank two big cups of hot decaf tea
B- 1/2 of an Atkins Advantage strawberry shake
L- one of my son's chicken tenders with ranch dressing and 5 little macaroni noodles (chew, chew, chew, CHEW)
D - 1/2 a slice of that frozen sugar free cheesecake..... (ewwwww)
and about 40-50 oz of water.

ummm, don't worry about saving me a piece of cheesecake. it was that bad? gosh, i don't think you got much in yesterday!
so, when do you leave for your trip? are you going to have a laptop to stay in touch with us? or do we have to wait a whole week to hear from ya?

Oh, that cheesecake was awful. AWFUL...didn't even taste like cheesecake. I was sooooooooooo disappointed. I think I will use the recipe I saw either on the splenda bag....or in the cream cheese box...to make a sugar free cheesecake. At least that way, I will know that ther IS cream cheese in it!!
You know, some days I eat a LOT and other days, I just can't get it in. I get to realizin' that I am behind on my water, and I don't want to take an hour off the water just to eat. So I focus on the water. I remember reading somewhere that the body can live on very limited calories, but it can not live withou****er. I guess that's always on my mind. The day before yesterday, I ate a LOT. I drank an entire Atkins shake (170 cals), ate 3 vanilla wafters, a handful of soy crisps, 1/2 a baked potato, one of those Tyson's buffalo chicken tenders and mashed potato's!!!! I was a PIG!!!
I leave O dark thirty in the mornin' Tuesday morning. I will ABSOLUTELY have my laptop!! I would DIE without my wls buddies! I actually thought about packing my scale, but decided against it. (I do have to lug that suitcase around, afterall) It's just gonna kill me to not weigh myself.
I finally went down another pound.....so I'm down 28 pounds now. How long has it been....at least a week? Sheesh! I hope this speeds up!
