Informational book by ?Suzanne something for bypass surgery patients?
HI Denise,
I read the book It is Susan Maries book. I found alot of it very informative, it was basically her journey. And she had a bunch of stuff in there are about carbs. I was so surprised to find out my favorite food, watermelon, a 1/2 cup has 23 carbs. a half of a small baked potatoe has 24 or something like that. It lists alot of fruits and vegetables and the carbs in them. She also was a bit of a cook and decided that when she went on this journey everyone around her would eat what she ate. So she came up with creative ideas for making things fatfree or sugar free. The recipes were good, but alittle bit more than I would make. for my family. More on the gourmet side of cooking. I really enjoyed the book and will try a few of the recipes. Have to admit thou she was one of the one where the journey went pretty smooth. I think it was definetely worth the read and am already passing it on to other WLS friends.

Denise,
I have made several of the recipies from the book and my family loved them! In fact last night I made the Tilapia with roasted pepper and cilantro sauce. It was fantastic and eveyone loved it! I just had the fish and a small spoonful of sauce, but i made a little rice pilaf and salad for everyone else and everyone was happy!
