Hi all, I'm 2 weeks out from my surgery, and have lost 15 pounds so far. I already feel better, and am grateful that I had no complications. But, I was used to seeing a few pounds a day disappear, and now I've been the same for three days now. Okay, I know I'm obsessing, but the old fears over watching my weight are coming back to haunt me. I just want it to go faster! Plus, I didn't buy any new summer clothes, as I figured I'd be back in the sizes that fit last summer, and these are still a bit too tight. Just wish the scale would move a little faster - know what I mean. --Carol

YEPPERS we all know what you mean. I am thankful very much that i had to loose some pre op weight. SO right now 3 1/2 weeks out and my preop weight im down 50 lbs which i can feel in clothes. THATS like the size of my 8 year old son! GOOD LUCK! Take measurements. SOMETIMES the scale doesnt show a loss but u are melting some inches! GOOD LUCK! ALL WILL BE FINE! LOVE LISA

Hi all, I'm in post-op also, I'm almost 3wks come june 28-05. I've already seen my dr. on this past monday for my first wk. post-op visit, and I lost 15pds. I weigh last nite and I have lost another 7pds. so that make a total of 22pds. I need to know if any of you experienceing some weakness, and fatigue, if so what are you doing to help yourself, because my enegry just zapped and when it do that I can't do my walking. could it be something I'm not doing right I need help, help, help. I'm getting as much of my protein in daily, but maybe there is other protein I can try but I don't know what it is, so someone let me know, because I'll be on puree for 3 wks. My god bless each of you and I will continue praying for all of us to have speedy recovery from the surgery and that our enegry level and the tireness will subside quickly, because I want to get my walks in every 3days. Well I guess I better go for now you all take care. Bea

Carol, I'd not worrry, I have seen many that have had this surgery and lose it in many different ways and times. It is easy for me too say it, cause I am only in the 9th day and hungery as heck, but I know it is best to follow Doc's orders. I have lost 23 pounds and can't really tell a difference. I had alot of Fluid build up, and maybe thats what I have lost. Just hang in there and in time it will drop before your own eyes. Goodluck, Kathy

I was three weeks post op Monday. I've lost 27 pounds. I've been a little worried too that I'm not losing as fast as others. Then I have to remind myself that 27 pounds in three weeks is pretty amazing really. I think it will be a lot easier for me when I really start seeing the results. I started at 340 so I'm going to have to lose some more before I can tell a big difference. Hang in there!!!! -Dawn
