l~tried a vanilla cappucino protein drink - - yuck! had maybe 2 oz
s~1 oz extra tender beef nuggets (not supposed to have these yet!)
d~not sure yet, will have to update!
lots of water and crystal lite!

Breakfast - carbcountdown yogurh
SNACK - carbcountdown choco milk
LUNCH: 4 ounces homemade chicken salad
SNACK pm - Sugar free pudding
DINNER: i has pintos and cheese and some taco seasoned ground beef w/ lo fat sour cream.....gurgly after this meal but didnt throw up and it passed quickly......
YUMMY DAY! SIPPED all my water and had some propel too

I was not so good today. Didn't get any protein shakes in...didn't get all my vitamins in.
B - refried beans with a dot of chili sauce + tbsp sour cream
L - (this is bad) 3/4 of a SF orange tastycake moistened with milk
D - No noodle lasagne - Bought meatballs at wa-wa....crushed two of them and put that all over the bottom of a mini-baking dish, topped with ff ricotta, about two tbsp of spaghetti sauce, and parmesean cheese and baked it. OMG this was soooooooo good!
I only got about 40 ounces of water/crystal light in today and two cups of hot caffeine free orange flavored tea.
Walked one mile with my daughter.
I MUST do better tomorrow!!!

hey pam! ummm, orange tastycake? that's not what i think it is, right? your dinner sounds yummy! but i am supposed to "avoid" red meat right now. is there such thing as turkey meatballs?
the extra tender beef nuggets are from walmart! 10g of protein in 1 oz, about 5 nuggets, so figured it is pretty good for protein. they are really tender compared to other beef jerky, but still if you get them CHEW CHEW CHEW!
btw, way to go on your mile! you walked a whole mile more than i did today!

Yea, an orange tastycake...as in, right next to the ho-ho's in the grocery store....but it was sugar free!! I'm not suppose to eat that crap..but I was dying for something sweet and didn't want another pudding!!
You know, I think I've seen turkey meatballs in the freezer section at Shoppers Food Warehouse....You could probably put them in the crockpot with tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce and they would get real tender.
Sooooooo those beef nuggets.....are they like jerky? You don't have to cook them or anything? Our Walmart doesn't have a grocery store section...they just sell dry items. (that so bites) But I'm sure I've seen jerky in there before.....so there's hope!
Isn't it strange how all these surgeons/nutritionist have different dietary protocols post-op? My sister had wls Feb 22nd, and she's not allowed red meat for a year! (she is doing AWESOME btw...she has lost almost 100 pounds!!! In FOUR months!! She's my inspiration!)

yes, the beef nuggets are like little nuggets of beef jerky. did i say the name? they are jack link's extra tender beef nuggets. comes in original, teriyaki and peppered. they all have 10g protein, but peppered has least carbs. original has the most carbs, 7g. but they are yummy!

Everyone is doing so much better than me! I am still on a soft food diet and very limited on what I can have.....much less what I can stand. Everything and do mean everything tastes like metal! Nothing tastes good...everything tastes the same. So here was my day.
B....8 oz. Nectar Fuzzy Navel.....32 gr. of protein!
L....1 oz. string cheese...maybe 3 grams of protein
S....don't laugh! 4 green beans and 1 oz of cream of potato soup.
I am supposed to have 2 oz of food at a meal and no snacks between.
I maybe got 24 oz. of water today. It all tastes awful!
Before bed I have 8 oz. of skim milk with Carnation s/f instant breakfast....18grams of protein.
So you see...I am not doing too badly on my protein but I echo everyone else...I am not hungry!
I did walk 1 1/2 miles at the track today! Got a little dizzy but brought my water and sipped all the way around.

sounds like you are doing pretty good sue! are you hungry at all? ready to sink your teeth into some real food?
wow, didn't realize the fuzzy navel has 32g protein! what do you mix it with? is it tolerable or do you just force it down? protein drinks have been my hardest struggle! thank goodness my dr only want me to have one a day!
have you tried any of the crystal lites? those might help you with your water/fluids. it is so important for us right now!
and also if you haven't heard of carb countdown milk, it is made by Hood. you should try the chocolate, it has 12g protein in a glass and a lotttttt less carbs! i haven't tried the regular carb countdown milk, so can't say how that one is!
and.....WOOHOOOO! 1 1/2 miles, that is so awesome! i have been super lazy again today, only walking i did was in walmart!
