Everyone, Well, I was all set to sleep in a recliner since I heard it was the most comfortable way to go for a few nights after returning home.... Saw my surgeon today, (surgery is Wednesday the 22nd) and he said not to sleep in one since it may increase the risk of pulmonary embolism. He said lying flat is the best position when sleeping and when not sleeping I should be "up and about." So much for relaxing in my recliner for awhile! Seriously though, I could use some (((((((((hugs))))))))))) ....Wednesday is only a heartbeat away and my heart is beating away with worry... Thanks for all of the support in the last few months! I didnt sleep in my bed the first 3 nights but i didnt have a recliner either. I dozed in a chair some and was just wiped out those days from lack of sleep. EACH day got better and now i can lay on either side of my stomach again. GOOD LUCK, remember to walk it helps break up the gas. I took short walks to the corner and back several times a day to keep the gas greaking up. GOOD LUCK LISA

Hi Geri I'm scheduled also for June 22nd.. Its gonna be ok! I will be thinking of everyone having the surgery as I am. How wonderful for us to have the opportunity to extend our lives. Just think of all the opportunities this will open for you.. thats what keeps me going. I will pray that your surgery goes soooo smoothly as I will for a most speedy recovery. Make sure you take in your protein!! that will help you heal quicker. Etta
