Nerves and inpatience...
...they are getting the best of me at this point. I'm having surgery on the 27th. I was supposed to go in this Monday but because of snow days I will not be finished with school (I'm a teacher) so I had to re-schedule for the 27th. Now I feel like it will never get here.
Also, my son made it to the Junior Gold National Bowling Tournament in Indianapolis so I'm hoping to make the trip only 10 days after surgery. My surgeon thinks I will be fine. It's a 9 hour drive and my husband and son will be splitting the time with me. I can't imagine having to miss this event but I'm scared to death that something is going to crop up. It's not the extra stress I need right now.
...well good luck to everyone else. If you're post-op - keep loosing, if you're pre-op I'll meet you on the loosing side!
Thanks for giving me a place to vent,
Kate
Kate,
Hang in there honey, its going to happen! I felt just like you 2-3 weeks ago. It didn't feel like it would ever come. But it did (June 15th) and I am home and feeling pretty good. You are going to make it and you will be on the losing side before you know it!!! Hope you feel well enough to travel just 10 days out. I don't know because I'm only 4 days out... But I am feeling o.k.. Good luck to you!! Jo
Kate,
I was in a similar spot. I had my surgery June 14 and I was suppose to take my daughter to camp in Florida (9 hours away) on June 25th. I started to freak out that I would not be ready ,my best friend was going to drive , but I was upset none the less. My neice is now going to take her but I am 6 days out and am feeling pretty good I feel by the end of the week I would be ok to take her. Eveybody is different but if you Dr. thinks its ok it probably is. Dont worry you'll do great it's starting to get fun over here on the losing side. For a couple of days I was beginning to wonder.
Good Luck,
God Bless,
Callie
