will it digest in time???????

hello all i have surgery tomorrow and i'm supposed to be on the liquid diet but last night (about 6:00) i ate some fish nuggets and macaroni and now i am doing all the pre-op stuff (laxatives and enemas) and i am worried that the food won't digest in time....should i be worried????HELP

YES ON THE DAY BEFORE MY SURGERY I ATE A NORMAL BREAKFAST THEN WAS ON CLEAR LIQ THE REST THE DAY NOTHING AFTER MID NITE IF YOU DO LAX AND ENEMAS AND ALL THAT STUFF YOU BE FINE GOOD LUCK THURSDAY THINGS WILL GO GREAT TEA

i wouldnt worry as long as you were doing as your surgeon instructed and the hospitol FOR ME: it was no food after 3 pm, only clear liquids and i drank my citrate magnesium at 4......the hospitol said no food after midnight I wouldnt worry the enemas will clear u out. I was still going the next morning till just before i went into OR so dont worry all will be fine.

I've been rather curious about this myself. My surgeon doesn't have me taken any type of laxatives the day before. My only instructions were, nothing by mouth after midnite. I have even asked again to make sure. He's been doing this for over 20 yrs with no problem so I can only assume it won't make a difference.
