Yes, that sounds about right. According to my nutrtionist I will eat and drink about an ounce over a 15 minute period. I sure don't see how we are expected to manage that and still get to sleep at night. LOL Good luck, Debbie

Yep - - as far as I know....we sip, sip, sip....all the time OTHER than...to stop 35-40 minutes prior to our real meals and we don't began sipping again until 35-40 minutes after we have completed our meals. Since my surgery isn't until in the morning....I'm not quite sure about what the rule is when we are only allowed to drink liquids and no solids. To tell the truth, they've had me on the liquids now for a few weeks getting ready for surgery and have have still drank bottled water (and/or flavored spring water) along with my - - protein drinks (meals). I've been able to have 5 of the protein drinks a day....so it seems that I am always drinking something. I know they told me that once I have the surgery, I will not be able to drink before, during, or right after meals because my stomach will need the room for food (instead of filling it up with just liquids). Best wishes and keep us posted. I'm planning on learning a lot from all of your (and other's expereinces).
