so i went for my 1 week (8 days) appt today. i have lost 17 lbs, i am very happy with that! he said he does not really look at the weight until 6 months (shoot, i do!) and that the first week is your biggest loss. he said he would be surprised if i lost that much over the next month. i am going to be realistic about it and not have huge expectations. AND i am really going to stop getting on the scale everyday! i know i shouldn't be doing this now (right tooter?) but i am going to "cut down" to only weighing in each week, same day. I am onto diet #2, which means I have shopping to do! off to the store now! and i will add my weight now, according to dr's scale, we are about 2 lbs different. hugs~mary jo 223/206/???

Mary Jo, Congratulations! I am scale watcher too! Couldn't have drug me on there screaming and kicking a year ago! Now I can't wait for someone to say....step on the scale please! I get to the next step 2 weeks post-op....but....did you consider are are you allowed to have any cheese products yet? Lot's of friends who had WLS said they get the Cambell's cheddar soup and thin with skim milk and pour over potato....kind of like a stuffed baked potato. For now I am still on clear liquids.. Sue
