I'm schedule for surgery on June 14th but don't know if I approved yet?

Like the title states, I get a call and they give me two dates one is for blood test and the other is for surgery, but I did not yet receive any news from my HMO in telling me that I have been approved? So here I am putting my date down just in case and hoping it does go through, so all ya Juners, I hope and pray everything well go well with your operations and best of luck. And can anybody tell me if this happen to you, is this procedure is normal? or am I going to be upset with bad news.

It sounds like you got approved to me.....usually your MD won't schedule you untill they have heard something. They may have gotten the OK via fax and you just haven't recvd a letter yet. Your best bet is to call your ins co yourself....I did....I called them like everyday untill I was told I was approved. I know your MD office probably said you don't have to call but it IS YOUR Insurance...you can if you choose. I hope all goes well and June 14th works out for you! Issy I want to thank you for your response and first thing Monday morning I am going to call my HMO and you gave me an Idea, that's to be very persistent your better believe that they are going to get a call from me everyday untill I hear what I want to hear, and thanks again for the fingers crossed.
