June 8th - Just around the corner!

Just had to jump in here and share that I AM SO EXCITED (and really NERVOUS)! I am scheduled for Lap RNY on June 8th. I keep looking at the calendar and counting the days... over and over again. I was approved on May 24th and had my surgery date by the next day. It seems like this has all happened so quickly - even though I started the process with my PCP in November! Now that it is coming down to only days ... it almost doesn't seem real and I'm having a difficult time concentrating on anything else right now. Guess that's normal, right? At any rate, just had to share my news and ask for your prayers! Julie

Congrats!!! I am having that same surgery on the same day...LOL. We will be going through it together, that is so awesome. Do you know what time your surgery is? I will definitely be praying for you. Love & Hugs Gina

Congrats on your surgery also! My surgery is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. but the patient coordinator at the hospital told me that it will more likely be '9:30ish'. I'm on the west coast, so I guess that's '12:30ish' your time. I'm excited to talk with someone who is scheduled on the same date - we'll be like "surgery sisters" LOL! Congrats!!!! I'm having surgery the 9th and I am kind of nervous but so excited! I bet you feel the same =) I will keep you in my prayers and I hope you have a very fast recovery! Kathleen

Hi my name is Nikki and I am also having the surgery on the 8th. So I guess that makes us thin twins.
I had a lot of problems with insurance and started the whole process with original consultation date of July 24, 2004 switched to December 2, 2004. Got approval on May 24th as well, and a date later that same day.
