June 7 2005 One of the biggest days in my life!

Well after this long haul over the past year i am finally going to do this. My surgery date for the RNY lap will be june 7 2005. I am so scared though. I have never had surgery before..wish me luck and i will pray for everyone and their up coming surgerys...

CONGRATS! It's going to be one of the biggest days in my life too! We have the same Date! I'm so excited..scared too..but mostly excited. I'm having Open RNY...my surgeon won't do lap but I really wanted him as my DR. I know I'll have a longer recovery but my biggest problem was making sure someone was here to watch my kids....5yrs and 16months. So, long story short all that is worked out and we are on our way! Hello , I guess you could say you and I are going to be weight loss twins my surgery is also on June 7,2005 and like you I have never been in hospital but to give birth to my 2 boys naturally. I was sooo scared also then about a week ago something popped and I couldn't wait for my surgery, it seems. Don't get me wrong I'm scared like just like you are . I would have to be crazy not to be afraid in any surgery specially one that alters your natural body process, but we got to this point due to our bad food decisions now we have made a new decision to get healthy and we took back our control over our bodies so good luck to you and your new life choice and I pray that you have a quick recovery and good pain meds (LOL) congrats and good luck my weight loss twin XOXOXOXOX

Congratulations on your surgery date. We will share a momentous day. I've had 2 lap bands with multiple problems though I did lose 70#, I'm now regaining it. The gastric bypass is my salvation. I know that you feel the same way or you wouldn't be taking this risk. Bless you and good luck to all of us.
