Hey everyone. I'm new to this board. My name is stephanie. I live in California. I'm 25 years old and I'm having RNY gastric bypass on June 1. I'm really nervous. This is going to be a huge change in my life and I don't do change well. I'd love to hear from some of you who may have already had it or those who are on their way. I'm feeling very alone so I could use a little encouragement. I hope to hear from some of you soon!

don't be nervous.. this is a good change. (my date is june 14th). This is going to be a great tool to a new healthier life. There are alot of people here for support. I am excited and nervous at the same time. but that is normal. Im not too great on changes but remember , "we" chose to have this change. I think about alot of things that is going to be great in the years to come (like shopping in a regular store for clothes). going up a flight of steps without running out of breath. having more energy to do more things. but The number 1 thing i am looking forward to is feeling about about myself (physcially and mentally). i will be here for you if you need someone to talk to. good luck on your new journey, Dawn

Congrats on your surgery date! How exciting. I am not a post-op yet but I will be joining all the other losers on the 6th of June. It's been a journey and a process but this is something I have been thinking about for three years. It's okay to be nervous. Everyone has that exact feeling. Lord knows I have been losing sleep over feeling nervous!LOL I am here for you as well as everyone else. Good luck and God bless! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
