Here's to a new life on June 2nd!
Well, I am excited as I will be having my operation on June 2nd. I wanted to thank all the wonderful people on this website for sharing their stories & pictures. Without this website I don't think that I would ever have had the courage to make it so far. I am sure that I will be nervous the night before my operation but I know I have to move forward and I will. Here's to a new lifestyle!
Hi Jill,
Congrats on finally getting a date set doesn't it feel great to finally have it? I have my surgery on June 1st with Dr. O'Malley also at Highland Hospital. We'll have to find each other's hospital room and visit a bit. There's another girl, Mary Jo Polito that will also be having hers on June 1st with Dr. O'Malley. Maybe we could have a little party as we sip our first liquids and toast ourselves on being losers
I hope to run into you at the hospital but if not, best of luck to you and it would be great to keep in touch if you're interested....

Hey Jill,
Guess what....ME TOO! June 2nd I go in as well, and you're right about needing the folks here for courage. I will be thinking about you and feeling better that someone is sharing a very similar experience to mine at the same time.
I will be mentally clutching your hand. Feel free to do the same to mine.
Lots of love and here's to a speedy recovery for both of us!

Thanks again for the support. I got to say I have emailed & made some of the nicest friends here on this site. My thoughts today are with my friend Brenda C. of Jamestown, NY who had her operation just yesterday. Sending get well wishes her way to her friends & family.
Also, A very special Thanks to Janet of Rochester, NY who has lost about 100 lbs ( may be more by now) and was always there to answer my emails and questions about the surgery & the impact after on your life. I hope one day that I ,too can help others make this decision easier.
God Bless & Take care.
Jill
