Hi Sandy, Actually today is me 3 year Surgiversary. My new motto is 3yr Anniversay 3yr Milestone. Here is my update. 1. I had Gastric Bypass on June 6th 2005. I have lost 303 pounds so far. 2. I had my pannilectomy and arms done May 3rd 2007. 3. The Biggest Milestone is my life was on April 9th 2008. I had Brain Surgery to remove the piece that caused my Epileptic Seizures. Its been 2 months and I have not had any aura's symptoms, or seizures. I am doing great and tell everyone about my surgery whenever I get the chance. Take Care, Kemalani

Hey Sandy, I'm here! I am looking for that hand up back on the wagon! Sound like many are doing good and others are like me a bit and have forgot some of our "life long" rules. I could use all the help I can get remembering what it is I am supposed to be doing. I know for sure it's not regular soda when I wake in the morning and that donut! Wow can you believe it has been 3 years. It seems to be flying right by us. I wish you the best. Shelley

Hi Sandy! Congrats on your upcoming anniversary. I've had a horrible 3rd year. I ate my way back up 90 pounds. I just had lapband surgery on May 15th as suggested by my surgeon. I have my first fill on Thursday. I've learned my lesson and now will work the tool everyday. I was happiest when I was at 158 pounds. I know I will get there again. I've been through so much, a lot of emotional issues both at work and home. I started dating last year and that added to my stress eating. My experience with men has been not good to say the least. Even being thin doesn't guarantee finding a good man. That was hard for me to accept. I am a fighter though. I never give up! Lucy

I am still doing well, down over 160 lbs. Last week my MD check up came back with perfect labs, no meds at all, no diabetes, no high cholestrol, no hypertension, no sleep apnia, reduced arthritus. Which has caused increased golf with no cart, feeling better about myself, buying clothes, more energy, everything is good - the best thing I ever did for myself. I go to support group once a month and speak to people considering surgical intervention monthly, too. Both groups are invigerating... Leaving for Italy and Spain mid month! okay so now that we have this connection, lets keep it together okay? We all need to have the little help now and than and knowing that there are others that are still loosing and like some of us gaining. We CAN get back on the looser side. Please keep in touch! Sandy

Hi - I had my surgery on June 8, 2005.  I am doing really well - so others say - but I just see the same old shape.

My new job doesn’t offer weight loss surgery or the corrective surgeries to remove the excess skin.  So I have the same rolls around my midsection that I had before the surgery.  They just don’t measure as big as they did.

The hard part for me is I see the same exact body I saw on June 7th of 2005 TODAY!

ALL IN ALL I LOVE IT – DON’T GET ME WRONG

I started at 250 and am now at 148.  I can not complain – BUT I can vent.  LOL

Have a great day!

Nikki
