I am back everyone, and thank you to all of you who posted to me for the encouragement. I had a very good time. I was much less self concious this time, although I have to say, I still have raging jealousy over the bikini beauties! LOL! I was able to climb up those stairs over and over again. Although I am not in great shape, I still did it and was hardly winded! I rode with the kids and climbed through tunnels and even had my picture taken in my bathing suit!! I will post this to my profile for all of you along with a couple of trip pics. Glad to be home though, I got a parakeet for my birthday this weekend and am looking forward to bonding with him! Wendy

Sounds like you had a wonderful time, Wendy. Congrats on being brave enough to wear a bathing suit. I have so much sagging skin, I can't imagine being brave enough yet. I bet your kids had a blast with you!! What are you going to name your bird? Kerri

Kerri, If you are like me you might just be over exaggerating how bad you think you look. I just jumped in and did it! I figure I can't look any worse than I did at 400 lbs in a suit LOL! And I have an albino baby boy parakeet named Socrates! He is adorable. Wendy

Wendy, I am glad that you had a good time. It is wonderful to experience those fun times with our families that we werent able to experience before. Dont let the girls in the bikinis bother you, your hubbie knows he has a true hottie by his side. I am sure he doesnt give those girls a second thought. Have fun with your parakeet this weekend and HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Lynn

Go for it Lisa! You will be so happy you did, a word of warning though, don't stay at the Great Wolf more than one night! The chlorine is high and dried out everybodies skin and we all had a rash! Is still driving us crazy!! If you do what we did and stay nearby in another motel the next couple of nights then when you check out of your room they let you stay all day til 10pm and play then you go to the cheaper place and stay after that. Believe me one whole day and a half of the waterpark is about all you want to do! They do have an arcade and a spa in the Traverse City one though which is really nice! We stayed the weekend and went to the mall and shopped, saw a movie and just relaxed in the motel pool and hottub, it was really nice to not have to worry about stuff at home for awhile! I have to take my hubby away every once in awhile or he works himself to death around the house. He does not know how to relax! Wendy
