3 Weeks Post LBL & Thighplasty

Good morning everyone! It's been 3 weeks since my lower body lift and thighplasty. Yesterday I finally got out my last drain (out of a total of 5). I am happy to say that none of my incisions opened and no seromas. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed. I am able to shower again and that felt so good. I still have swelling of my legs and feet. That is one thing that is so hard to accept, even knowing that it is normal. I can drive again and be independent. YAY! I hated being a prisioner in my own home. I pray that my recovery continues on the same path. Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas. I thank everyone for the support and guidance given me on this board. That really helped my recovery. Hugs, Lucy

Hi Wendy! Boy did I have a busy day yesterday. I did a lot of shopping and was so exhausted when I got home. Today I'm going to the general surgeon for my post-op visit for my hernia repair. I am not going to weigh in. I'm still so swollen in my legs and feet. I hope this swelling goes down for the holidays. Thanks for your well wishes and comments. One thing I have to work on is my eating. That has been problematic for me since October. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, my dear friend! Hugs, Lucy

Lucy, That is great news! It really says a lot about how well you have taken care of yourself and your health that you have healed so nicely. You are doing a GREAT job!! I have no doubt if you just keep doing what you are doing, you are going to continue to heal just fine. Are you happy with your results? I know what you mean about being independent - especially being able to drive yourself again. There's nothing like it. Merry Christmas to you too, Lucy!! Hugs, Pam

Hi Pam! I am 99% happy with my results. I have that Ken doll look. I always wondered what that meant; now I know. That is something I have to have revised and will take care of it with plastic surgery round 2 this spring. I love my flat abdomen and very small belly button. My legs look awesome and will even look better once the swelling goes down. I have a very small butt! I feel like a stuffed sausage and like the casing (skin) is going to rip open. That's how tight everything is. Hope all is well with you and your family. Merry Christmas to my dear friend. Hugs, Lucy

Hi Lucy~ Good to hear that things are going well. I've been wondering how you are. Life has been so hectic that I just haven't had any time to be on the boards. Isn't it amazing how the small things in life become so awesome after they've been taken away for a little while, like taking a shower? Have an absolutely treeeemendous Christmas! Hugs, Kerri
