I am a gastic bypass patient & I need to behave like one.....
Hello gang!
I am feeling much better since my last post. All the pain went completely away and I have to believe it was my gallbladder. It did just what I thought. Bad for a day or two, with a loss of appetite, living on bland foods (low fat, no spice) and I'm straight again. AND down to 123 this morning - which is two pounds lighter than I want to be. I'm just so glad that episode has passed. I know eventually that joker is coming out - I'm just not ready yet.
So..... food today:
Venti SF Decaf Vanilla Latte
Banana
Mini-bagel (wheat)
2 oz cheese
1/2 of one of those microwaveable sirloin beef stew cups
3/4 cup mild chili + 3 wheat crackers + sprinkle of cheddar cheese
4 oz yogurt with cereal
I think I need to get on a tuna and salmon kick for a while... my protein was not that great today.... maybe 50-60g?
Does anyone make a yummy salmon recipe??? I need some tips.
How's everyone else doing?
Hugs,
Pam
Don't ask!!
Because of my Cipro, I haven't been taking my antacid this week and now my ulcer is back with a vengeance, and of course the only thing my little pouch will accept without trouble is carby stuff like Christmas cookies I have all over the house!!!
They are going this weekend to different people and places, so the sooner the better, I am sending a bunch with hubby to work tomorrow!
I am back on the antacid tomorrow and hopefully back on the routine. I have to get my iron up for surgery. And the protein too, so I will heal well.

Alesia,
Odd thing is, I've always had a feeling that I would end up under the knife again for either my intestines or my gall bladder - so I put off the idea of the tummy tuck feeling that the timing just wasn't right for it.
I got a price from my ps for a TT at just under 5K if I do just hip to hip (not circumfrential) and financially, I could do that - but I'm reasoning with myself to payoff the arms/chest and wait to see what happens with the rest of my "gutt" before marching in.
I think you're right - it's going to end up coming out. It's aggravating. Pre-op I was in the hospital a couple of times with gall bladder issues. ALMOST had it out - got pregnant. Decided to wait. Had a HORRIBLE episode when I was 8 mo preggers. Spent a night in the ER - and in the room with the sonographer twisting me and making me cough real hard to dislodge a huge stone from my bile duct. Ohhhhh that was miserable but thankfully, it got me through that episode.
During my pre-op testing - the gall bladder sono was a complete surprise. They couldn't find it. Even with me swallowing all that chalky stuff and going under the MRI thing.... I never had it taken out. So, my RNY surgeon didn't worry about taking it out during my surgery. I knew i would regret that. And here we are. I know it's coming. I think I will see if I can have the TT done at the same time. That would be nice.
Hugs,
Pam
