Update on BIL---Thanks for prayers and questions about PS
Thank you all for your prayers. My brother-in-law is doing fine now. He is at home and beginning his new journey.
I am so happy for him. He has wanted this surgery for a long time but was denied twice from insurance.
He weighed in at 519 pounds so his life was really at stake here. I talked to my sister and he has lost 20 pounds already!
I can't wait to see where he is at 6 months from now.
As far as me, I dipped down to 126.5 for a few days. However, I went back up to 130.5 and I am hanging out back here at 130.5. This seems to be where my body wants to hang out for a while. The 120's were kind of exciting and scary at the same time because I have not been in the 120's since high school. I weighed 125 all of my early adult life.
In a way, I would like to go back into the 120's because I liked the sound of saying that I weighed 126. Is this crazy or what?
I should be happy to be right where I am at.
I am still thinking about Plastic Surgery. I am still debating on taking the money out of my 401K as a loan. I would need $9500 for a tummy tuck and breast lift. The interest on the loan would be paid back to myself at 9.5%. If I pay the loan back in a year I would only incur an estimated loss of $749 at retirement age. This seems so minor in comparison to having my tummy tuck and breast lift.
However, my job is unstable. I am a fixed duration employee and my contract will be up in September 2007. I keep thinking I should hold on to as much money as possible, but then there is this other side that says "You have worked so hard---put the finishing touches on your body."
Any thoughts ladies and gents? For those of you that have had PS, did it improve your body confidence as much as you had hoped? Was the financial investment worth it?
Would you do it all over again? Would you make this type of financial invesement even if you knew you were going to be losing your job in less than a year?
Just wanted to hear your thoughts.....
