Sorry its been so long...
Hi everyone,
Sorry its been so long since I have posted. Its hard to believe summer is over and the snow will be back soon. I had a great summer. I just got back from a short trip to Boston to visit my sister and her family. A new addition to her family arrived two months ago so I wanted to see the baby. Savannah Lynn. She is adorable. I wish they lived closer.
I have reached my goal of 140 and actually lost 2 more than that. I dont really want to lose any more so I try to eat more. I dont want to gain either so I still weigh myself once every week or every other week to keep track. The smallest jeans I have bought are a 2, but for the most part I am in a size 3-4 and a small or medium top. I love buying clothes now. I kinda get a little carried away and have to stop myself. I feel great most of the time, but I have had some stomach trouble. A few months ago. I had a CT scan and an endoscopy. My surgeon found that my stomach was very irritated and I had a hard ball of food lodged in my pouch where it should not have been. He cleaned that out and gave me a liguid medication used for ulders to settle it down and now its fine. I have also missed some work because my shoulders have been terrible. I have pain in them to the point I can barely move them. It goes into my collarbone also. I had a cortazone shot last week and it helped, but didnt get rid of it totally. I have to go back for an MRI soon and I hope that finally gets to the bottom of it. Has anyone else experienced any of this. I worry that with the fast weight loss that my muscles are not what they should be.
I get on and read posts as often as I can. It seems that they have slowed down somewhat. I hope everyone is doing great and enjoying our wonderful new bodies. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

Hey Carla! Glad to hear from you!
I too have shoulder problems. I had to have physical therapy from it and found that if I don't use them regularly they get worse! I have the most trouble with them at night if I put my arms over my head they wake me up from the pain.
Sounds like everything else is going good for you though and I am glad to hear it! Don't wait so long for your next post!

Wow! I wish I was losing that good! I have been going up and down with the same 5 lbs. since May. I want to lose another 20 lbs., so I really need to get this thing done!
Your question about the shoulder pain--no I don't have that--I've lost 96 lbs. However, I have had severe hip pain (where the thigh meets the hip) since March. Kind of ironic, since at size 26-28, I had no pain. Now, at a size 12, it even hurts when I'm laying down (severity is sporadic).
Anyone else have that after losing weight?

Becky,
That is how my shoulder, in fact both shoulders sometimes act up. I only had a shot in the left one, but he will do the other one if it gets bad. Thats the annoying part, I never know when it is going to flare up. Other than that though I feel great and never for a moment regret having this surgery. I am so happy with the outcome.
You will lose the next 20, the end just takes longer than the beginning did. I hope your hips get better. I did hear that sometimes this fast weight loss shifts our areas of weight and sometimes places ache that didnt use too. I had terrible hip and low back pain before surgery and now it rarely acts up. But now its the shoulders. At least we are much more healthy now..
Take Care,
Carla
