Thanks Erica, Yes it is awful. Somebody told me once you have it, you may never get rid of it completely, but you can check the symptoms, so here is hoping!! Wendy

Hi Wendy, Did they do the H.Pylori test before your wls? Our surgeon's office and most ins carriers require it. Unfortunately they cannot scope your stomach or duodenum any longer as that has all been bypassed. But they can check to see if it is in your pouch. Endoscopy is pretty easy. I have had four since wls because of strictures and it was done with good drugs on board. Good thing they found the nasty little bug as it is usually the cause of most ulcers. Good luck and I hope you get rid of it quickly and without any problems. All my best, Deb

Thanks Deb, I don't think they did the test before wls, but I don't know. Maybe they did and I was negative at the time. Thanks for the info on the scope, I am nervous a little, but the doc doing it is very experienced with wls patients. Wendy

Hi Wendy I remember when my mother had an H Pylori infection. That antibiotic pack is no joke. Hang in there, it will be over soon. With my mother, it was her mutlitude of medications that help bring it on along with her stomach acids. Sharyn
