Hi Wendy and Lisa, Its nice to hear from you lisa, it seems like I havent seen you as much lately. I figured you were busy with the kiddies. I am have a busy daycare summer. Just taking care of the kids. I have been excercising a lot. I am trying to get ready to do a 10k on Labor day, it is supposed to be the toughtest 10k in the US. It is called the Cobb Classic. It is 6 miles all up and down hills. But I really want to do it. I have upped my walking from two miles a day to 4.2 miles then yesterday I did 4 in the morning and 5 at night for a total of 9 and I broke into the 150s this morning. I was 159. I dont know if it was real because it could have just been water loss from all the walking but it sure was nice to see the 150's I have been in the 160's forever at least it seems like forever. I am going on vacation in August I am going to Utah to go to a week long education conference at Brigham Young University. I am very excited about it. I have wanted to do this for years and just never have gotten around to it. So I am glad that I am finally doing it. Wendy, camping sounds fun. I love to camp, we used to go camping when our kids were little. I really enjoyed it, but my husband never really liked it and so we dont do it now that the kids are grown. He is more of a city boy, I am a country girl. I hope you have fun. I hope everyone is having a fun summer. I have noticed that the boards have been slow. I figure that we are all off having summer fun. Lynn

Ok here is one from someone who never posts: here is how my summer has gone so far: Lost 120 lbs siince 6/21/05- got married to the most wonderful guy in May- went on 2 week honeymoon to ***** Cana and wore a 2 piece suit for the first time EVER, and looked damned good I might add. Came back- go handed down clothes from Mom and Sis and fit into a size 10 for the first time EVER!! Bought a pair of 12 pants- too big- went back and needed a 10- (holy crap I said, loudly in the dressing room- prompting one sales person to ask is I was ok LOL) went out - no size 10 on the rack. Told sales person I need the 10 that was on manquin, she said no- I said I am not leaving till I get those pants!!!!!! Eventually she agreed to get them as, I really was not leaving without them. Major moment for me!! Realized I have smaller measurements then my "skinny" mom and sister- what a laugh I have always been twice as big. Am enjoying my gardens and my new hubby (sometimes in the garden ) Lovin life! I don't post often but read everything- so congrats to everyone and keep doing what you're doing! The good life has arrived!

I am here. Just don't have much to say that isn't already said. I am working and having alot of BBQs. We have a large family and some come over to swim & BBQ almost every week-end this time of year. Also, we are making final arrangements for our Maui vacation in Sept. Weight has stayed the same for the last three weeks and only a couple of puunds last month. My eating is still about the same. I don't eat many carbs and no sugar, so it will have to come down sometime, I think, LOL. Have a good camping trip. Sara

I'm a major lurker, but I check this board all the time. Lisa, I especially miss your posts. You've always been so encouraging. But, I'm in your boat with the food issues. I'm glad to be where I am weight-wise, but still want to lose another 35 lbs. We'll just have to hang in there together and accept that this is a one-day-at-a-time battle and just because we mess up a few days, it's not an all or nothing thing. (I've been trying to retrain my mind to believe that!) As far as the summer, I'm enjoying the warm weather and dreading the cold weather - just the opposite of what I used to be! Babysitting my 2 year old niece, trying to stay with working out and exercising. I hope this board stays active - it has really encouraged me over the past year. Rebecca 308/165/130

Hi Wendy Hope you have a great time camping! I Love Love Love to go camping. We just went for a week over the 4th holiday. It was my first time since last year. SO COOL - now I can move all over the camper without having to turn sideways and do the shuffle... especially in the little potty room! I could sit outside in a folding chair and not be roasting in the heat... I could walk long distances.... and I swam a LOT in the pool. Good times. Then, we went camping again last weekend... only this time in a farm field with a bunch of other vendors at a Tractor show. Lots of rednecks there selling thier flea market items and tractor stuff. That wasn't as much fun as the other camping trip - but I did manage to read an entire book while I was there (Judging Time, by Leslie Glass) - good book. This week has been crazy with getting caught up with work. Plus, I've had additional tasking thrown my way...which requires additional training.... I'm really over loaded. I've been working on something work related every night this week. I'm hoping to get to a point where I can go back outside and live again! I've had just enough of a taste of it that I'm aching to do it some more! Hugs Pam

Hi Wendy~ I'm getting ready to have a boatload of company coming into my house starting Saturday. First Mom flies in, then Dad is driving in, then my brother and his family is coming a few days later, all for a big family reunion. I'm looking forward to having everyone here~ I always miss my family. Plus, we will get to do a redo of Knott's Berry Farm. Last year at this time, I had to watch everyone go on all of the rides. This year, I'll be first in line with my nephews and niece. Life had been crazy doing house projects. We usually only have time to do them during the summer. So far we've redone our guest bathroom, painted our loft, installed new baseboards in our downstairs, and installed chair rail in our living room and dining room. VERY glad to be done with those!!!! I'm also still trying to get ready to do the 1/2 marathon in October. I can do the 6 miles with little difficulty, but turning that into 13 miles is another thing. I was really sore after 8 miles and about died from heat stroke after doing 10 miles. I haven't tried it again since then. The weight is trickling off, if that. I'm still being very good with what I'm eating, but I am fighting the portion size. I'm having to go back to measuring some of the portions because I find that I want to eat too much. I did fit into a couple of size 12's which was unbelievable for me. I do still have a ways to go~ I'd like to end up somewhere around 150. I'm at 188 now, soooo... we'll see. Hope you have a fabulous time camping! It's too hot here fo me to go. Hugs, Kerri

Hey Wendy, It's been a very busy spring and summer for me thus far, and at the moment I am posting from Frankfurt, Germany. We are headed with Sebastian to Paris tomorrow for 3 days. We will be flying back home on Friday the 21st. It is absolutely beautiful here and I have lost 7 lbs since I've been on vacation. Eating lots of different foods, but being kind of careful. I've had a couple of incidents since I've been here and one really bad dumping. Our hosts order fresh fruit for me without sugar and after eating just a few berries I knew something wasn't right. Within about 10 minutes my heart started racing, I got really dizzy and felt aweful. I politely told our hosts to go ahead and finish the fruit as I was full. At the bottom of the bowl was the culprit...sugar syrup. Well, I survived but it wasn't pleasant. We are headed north this afternoon with Sebastian's parents. Guess we are going to some kind of bbq. Not sure what the german bbq but we'll see. Have a great day and great weekend. All my best, Deb 250/230/146/137 or somewhere in there

Hiya Ms. Wendy Just checking in between all of the craziness! We are doing a huge project at work, so I have been working all kinds of funky hours since the beginning of June and will continue until the end of this month. In the midst of that, I moved into a new townhouse, and my son totaled my car (came through without a scratch Thank God) so I am car shopping, which is a big pain in the butt. I am also planning his graduation party for the 30th, and getting all of the paperwork finalized for him to start college at the end of August. Between those things, I am also running to swim meets with my daughter. *WHEW* Weight loss has been slow. I did manage to drop 3 pounds within the last few weeks...probably from the stress of moving. Once upon a time I would have eaten my way through a stressful situation, now people have to remind me to eat...what a difference! Oh...my panniculectomy has been covered by the insurance company, so that is good news. I want to get the lower body lift done at the same time so that the anesthesia and room charges will be less since the insurance company will pick some of that cost up if I do them at the same time. I just don't know when I am going to have time to schedule it. Have a great camping trip!! Leslie 309/156/150
