Poll: How much of a sandwich???
Okay, I'm curious here. Sometimes, I find that I can eat an entire sandwich....other times only 1/2 a sandwich. It's kinda freakin' me out. Am I eating too much? Here's what I mean by a "sandwich"
2 slices of low carb whole wheat bread
deli turkey
slice of cheese
tomato slices
onion slices
lettuce
spicey mustard
little mayo
POLL QUESTION: How much of a sandwich can you eat this far out?????
well, when i was working sometimes i got a sandwich for lunch. i would take off the crust, eat 1/2 and then eat the ham off the other 1/2. i RARELY eat bread, but once in a while i will grab 1/2 peanut butter sandwich and that usually satisfies me. i don't know what it is, but bread fills me up wayyyyyy fast!
by the way, your sandwich sounds so yummy! make me a 1/2 please?
hugssssssss
I can usually only eat a half, but I also usually have my sandwiches open faced. Last week I tried a sandwich with 2 pieces of bread and some lunch meat and I finished all but about a quarter of it. But I didnt have any lettuce or vegis on it. Sometimes I can eat more then at other times. It depends on what I am eating.

Yeah I can't eat the bread much either. I do the one slice thing too, or I wrap my meat around my cheese. I will do 1/2 of a pbj with bread. But I can eat chips and salsa til they run out my ears, go figure!
I think our bodies want what they want, but you are such a skinny minny now I think you can afford the calories here and there if you want anyway. As long as you aren't eating 3 of those a day I think you are ok girl! LOL!

It depends on what's on it. I can eat a whole tuna salad sandwich, but I can maybe eat 2/3 of a deli meat sandwich (the amount of meat usually determines how much I can eat). Sometimes I'll get a 6 inch sub that is loaded with meat and I will be lucky to eat 1/2 (1/2 for lunch, 1/2 for dinner).
I try to keep it in perspective. 6 months ago this much food would have made me puke. But 18 months ago I could eat the whole sub, a big bag of chips, a large Pepsi, and still have room for candy bar.
I too eat half of a sandwich open-faced. Howevere, last night I ate two whole-wheat beef fajitas. The whole-wheat tortillas are small compared to the white tortillas, but this still concerns me. I am definitely able to eat more. . . but not nearly what I could have before surgery. But my appetite has increased enough that I'm putting on weight. This is very disconcerting for me. One year out from surgery and counting calories to keep from putting on weight--and I'm not even at goal!!
