I'm just alittle over a year out and trying to get in the protein is getting tough for me now.. I still have 2 protein drinks a day (24 grams/ea). I do good at breakfast and lunch but finding protein for dinner is getting very hard for me. Im not a big beef eater since too much beef makes me tired. Im not too big a fan of chicken. So I guess im looking for answers to help me get in my protein. Any suggestions or receips would be greatly apprieciated. I am thinking this is why im hitting my first plateau. I lost a total of 117 lbs and still need to lose another 60 lbs. I workout 4 days a week as well. Thanks for your time! Dawn

Dawn I have discovered soy beans (edamame). For a half cup serving: 100 calories, fat-3, carbs.-9, protein-8. If you can find the ones without the pod great but if not just shell them when they are cooked. Takes a little longer but it is worth it. You will be surprised how big a serving 1/2 cup is. Hope this helps.

My proteins of choice are chicken, turkey, shrimp, salmon and tuna (canned only i'm allergic to fresh. Its important to me to vary how i cook or prepare the meat so i don't get bored or groassed out because I can get sick of meat really quickly. You can email me if you need more specific dishes. Hi Dawn, my surgery sister! Here's a great recipe for pork roast that is really WLS friendly and I make often. You might want to cut the roast in half through the grain of the meat before you put it in the crockpot - smaller shreds of meat! Mexican Pork Crock Pot Stew 2 pounds pork roast 32 oz. salsa 2 T. Chili Powder 2 T. Garlic Powder 2 11-oz. cans Mexicorn 2 15-oz cans pinto beans Combine raw pork, salsa and seasonings in crockpot and cook on low overnight. The next morning, shred pork with forks right in pot. Add drained mexicorn and beans. Cook on low for as few as 3-4 and as many as 10 hours before serving. Yours in 165 pounds down, Jen

Hey Dawn! I had another idea! I was thinking about cheese sticks today. I eat 2 of those Sargento Light mozzarella cheese sticks. Each has 50 calories, 2 g. fat and 6 g. protein. I usually have these for breakfast prior to a latte (skim milk - another 12 or so grams protein). Good luck! Yours in 165 pounds down, Jen
