My Turn~ Another 1 Year Surgiversary!
Hello to all of my fellow Junebugs~
I'm so excited to have my rebirthday today. It has been an indescribable year, filled with many ups and downs, celebrations, Wow moments, and some frustrations. As this month closes, all of us have experienced the feelings that I'm feeling now~ excitement, pride, hope, but most of all, gratitude. I am sooo unbelievably thankful to God for allowing me to be complication free so far from this surgery, and giving me the strength to not only lose the weight, but to change mentally and take on those nasty behaviors and beliefs that caused me to gain the weight in the first place. I don't claim to have it all under control, it's a daily battle. I mess up, just like everyone. But, I am relearning and reteaching myself how to deal with stress and boredom, my two biggest food triggers.
Thanks to all of you on this board. You have brought me an endless amount of support and love. I have had so many of you say just the right thing to me when I needed to hear it. You have blessed my life as well through this year.
A quick stats update~ Weight- High- 358, Surgery- 332, Current- 190
Inches lost-
Arms- 6" off of each
Waist-10"
Bust- 12"
Midriff- 11"
Hips- 18" That's a foot and a half!!!
Thighs- 12-15" off of each
Sizes- 28-30/ 4x; Current- 14/16/ XL
I still have a ways to go, but I'm proud of what I've accomplished up until now. I look forward to seeing what this next year holds in store for me and for all of us. I'm hoping to add to our family within the next 6 months. My surgeon was very pleased with my progress, stating that I am now where he thought I would be by the end of the 18 months. So everything else is bonus. I still have about 40 lbs. to go until I reach where I would like to be, but that's okay. I am thrilled with where I'm at.
Blessings to you all,
Kerri
Hi Kerri! Happy Anniversary to you!! I can tell how happy you are today, and you should be. You've come a long way baby!!
I'm jumping for joy and doing the happy dance in your honor
I'm jealous, as you weigh less than I do! LOL! We're close though and we'll both edge our way to goal.
Enjoy your surgery anniversary!
Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Lucy~ You're too funny! We sure are close, only you're total weight loss is significantly higher than mine!
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I did want to enjoy my surgiversary so I went for a walk... a VERY long walk...a 10 mile walk, further than I had ever gone before! What I didn't do was prepare. I am sore, incredibly sun burnt, and dehydrated! Oh well, lesson learned for sure.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
Hugs,
Kerri
Thanks so much Leslie! Yeah, I went for a long walk, 10 miles, and almost passed out from heat and sunburn. Not one of my more brilliant moments!! I finished, but boy an I paying for it today! Hope you make a smarter decision than me to celebrate your 1 year!!! The only good to come from it is that I broke into the the 180's~ 188 as of this am. That made me happy!
What is an implementation? I mean are you implementing something? Just curious! Whatever it is, it sounds like it has been keeping you WAY busy.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. It's been a wonderful ride.
Hugs,
Kerri
