Happy Surgiversary!
Hello and congrats to all my Junebug buddies out there! Happy anniversary to all of you!
Today is my 1 year out point and based on my appt last week all is good- I have gone down from 289 to 176 and counting- size 22 to size 10/12 (holy crap!!) and we all know the ailments that have begun to no longer plague us. I myself have psuedotumor cerebri which is excess spinal fluid around the brain- I have been through 2 eye surgeries to hel p fix the problem and had no real relief. That was until I met the team at St. Raphael's in New Haven. They are my angels and Dr. Nadzam is top notch!
I have not had any issues since 3 months post op and the outlook is good. I was facing losing my sight completely and never being able to handle pregnancy. As of the 12th of June- its a go ahead on everything! I am so excited!
The past year has been the easiest thing physically, the hardest mentally and everything in between. I married my soulmate who loved me no matter what I looked like, but loves the new me! He figured he traded up to the better model after marriage instead of what usually happens to women after marriage. I had the wedding of my dreams and couldn't be happier. i even was able to wear a two piece bathing suit on my honeymoon! (HUGE Wow moment as you who have been there know!)
I am so excited for all of you who through your hard work and perseverence are making you own dreams come true everyday. Good luck for continued success to all!
Best Wishes
Erica
Congratulations Erica~ I'm so happy for you and the changes that you've made in your life. It has been life changing for you. What an amazing year for you, and I'm thrilled that your eyesight is better. I, too, am going to be trying to get pregnant within the next 3-6 months. Keep us posted on how that goes. We want to be able to celebrat that, too!
