Hi Kerri! My weight is 193.4 to date! I made my 190 pounds lost in one year! Yippee!!
I really don't have a secret. I don't actually count calories but try to get in my 60 grams of protein every day. I don't drink protein drinks except for AchievOne and that's for breakfast maybe twice a week I get almost all of my protein by eating it. Cheese, chicken, cottage cheese, fish, soy burgers, turkey burgers, beans, and eggs. I found a high protein cereal that gives me 12 grams of protein per serving plus a half of a cup of skim milk.
I take Optisource 4 times a day for my vitamin and mineral replacements.
I do exercise regularly. A combination of elliptical, Tony Little's gazelle rider, and for abdominal work - the AB-Doer. I exercise 6 days a week .
I am more active now then ever in my life. I'm hardly at home, always out!
My 1-year lab work was excellent, no nutritional deficiencies . My surgeon said I am in excellent shape . My fat mass from the Tanita scale ranked at 23.3% .
Kerri, I am so happy with my progress. My goal weight is 160 pounds and the rest will come from plastic surgery. I have so much loose skin after losing a total of 290 pounds. I know that I will have to pay for most of the procedures - except for the tummy tuck as I have a large incisional hernia from a previous surgery (not the WLS).
I would love to meet you some day! You have an outgoing personality and a lot of energy! I love reading your posts.
Again, thanks for your reply. It is indeed a time for celebration!
Hugs,
Lucy

Lucy,
We share anniversaries! I agree with you about how far we have come! I think the most difficult part for me lately is looking in the mirror and seeing someone I don't recognize! I see a mixture of my Mom and someone I don't know! Hopefully some day I will get to know this new woman!
Congrats to you!
Maria
Maria, Happy Anniversary to you too!
The image thing is something I can relate to. I also don't recognize myself a lot of times as I look into the mirror or see an image of myself from the glass at a store.
I've been told that the image thing will take some time for our brains to adjust to.
Life is grand, isn't it? I'm thankful that there is is a tool for us to control our weight.
Thank you for your response!
Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Jen! I was hoping to meet some of my fellow board members at the Milwaukee OH conference. I really had a great time especially with the bariatric boogie dancing.
Congrats on your WLS success!
I am going to take the OH Hawaii cruise in November. Are you going? I'm looking forward to it as it will be my first cruise and time in Hawaii. Great for socializing and learning more about post-op life.
Thanks for your response.
Hugs,
Lucy
Hi Sharyn. The cost for the cruise wasn't too bad and lately the plane tickets for Hawaii went down a bit. I found that out because OH changed the date of the cruise to a day later on a new ship. I had to change my tickets because of that. The cruise line was picking up the cost for the change. To make it short, I got a voucher from american airlines for the refund on my ticket because I paid more than the ticket was now.
I have no sugar daddy either. Wish I did!
Take care,
Lucy
