Okay, all. From reading the posts lately, soooo many of us are going through these 3-4 week stalls. Gaining and losing...gaining and losing. Mine has been just 1 lb. (.6 lb. to be exact), but the frustration is the same. So, yesterday DH and I decided to force a break of this plateau. We decided to do a triathalon of events on our Memorial Day. We started with some racquetball with friends for about 1.25 hours, then went golfing~ walking the 9 holes of course, then ended the evening with walking the 10k route we usually take. I'm incredibly sore, but did lose that 1.5 lbs. It puts we now at 195.8, my lowest so far. Come on....tell me what you can do to push yourself and shake things up! If nothing else, it will make you feel incredible about yourself! It MIGHT even cause those scales to move a little. Any takers????? Hugs, Kerri

This is my plan.... I'm up at 5 and jog 1 mi, then do 1 hr aerobics to Denise Austin at 6, and then walk 1 mi on my treadmill. After lunch and supper walk another mi on my treadmill. This may seem excessive, but I am off for the summer and usually I'm walking around 2 mi at work alone. If the weight does not budge I guess I will increase something somewhere. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. You sound like your doing awesome though. Keep up the good work!!!

Wow Jennifer~ that is some workout!! I'm off for the summer, too, in about 16 days...not that I'm counting or anything! I hope to have a consistent exercise program that will help to tone some of this saggy, baggy skin of mine. I'm sure the lbs. will start dropping off again with that type of workout. Keep me updated~ I'd love to know how it's going! Hugs, Kerri

Hey Kerri, This is exactly what I had to do to get things moving again. I got a fill, which helped take the edge off my hunger and keep me feeling satiated. But I truly believe the big kicker was a new routine I started last weekend. It was a blast and will become my summer routine... My health club has an outdoor pool. I get to lay out for 30 minutes, then get in the water and swim, do water aerobics, or water walk for 20 mins. Then lay out for 30. Repeat for a few hours. Get some sun, get a great tan, and feel terriffic! If I remember right, you were the person who talked about your church having a group that dealt with exercise and nutritional issues. I am thinking of starting one in my church. Would you care to share with me what your church does and I'll share my idea for starting a 30-day fitness challenge in my church? My email is [email protected]. Have a great day Kerri and YOU GO GIRL! You are doing AWESOME! Yours in 150 pounds down, Jen

Hi Jen~ How fun is that!!!! First, let me congratulate you on being brave enough to wear a swimsuit in public! I'm so self concious because of the droopy skin. Good for you!! What a neat exercise routine~ absolutely perfect for the summer. I love swimming, but our gym only has the indoor type. I bet the water walking and aerobics will really burn those calories. I'll email you this weekend about the church group~ I'm about ready to leave for my lovely commute to school, so I'll have to do it later. Awesome job on the 150 lbs. I've put away my scales until my 1 year anniversary on June 23rd. I have weighed every day since surgery and decided it was time for me to celebrate my success instead of obsessing about the number. So...we'll see what the next few weeks will hold. I wish you all of tghe best. Keep up the great work! Hugs, Kerri

Ok this is me.... I get out of bed... 2 calories. Take shower....5 cal lift coffee to chin 43 times.... 10 cal drink water.....10 more physical therapy on finger.....10 more I think you all get the idea!!!! LOL!!! I really do have to get off my ass, but last week, I started to really go at it, walked 2 miles and then did boot camp aerobics at the Y and could not walk or move or breathe for the rest of the week!!!! I seem to be the all or nothing kind of chic, I did do some yard work yesterday, planted the garden, put of a retaining wall and weeded flower beds. And does swatting mosquitos count as excersize? Cause I probably did an aerobic workout doing that! Wendy

Wendy, you're too funny! I love reading your responses in the mornings because they always make me laugh! I definitely think planting a garden and building a retaining wall counts as exercise. Keep up the great work! You're doing awesome! Hugs, Kerri

Kerri, OMG we have been working on the new house in the yard so hard over the weekend that I am dead for the rest of the week, which is really bad because I need to do some form of exercise EVERYDAY! So my goal will be to take a walk after work everday with the dog and hubby.... Thanks for getting us thinking about this again! Debra P

Hi Debra~ I think working on the yard, especially in a new house IS exercise!!! I know how fatigued and exhausted I was after we moved. Walking with the dog and hubby is always a great thing~ unless you're like me and have headphones on and don't want them walking in front of you because it causes you to go off pace! I'm a very unsocializing walker!! Sounds like you're doing great! Keep up the wonderful work! Hugs, Kerri
