I am off on parental leave since JAnuary, it has been great to get to know my daughter (who we adopted) but has been horrible for my weight loss journey. I liked the busyness of work, there is no fridges around. I won't go back to wor****il September. IT has been about a month since I've lost not more that 1 lb a week. IT has trickled to 1/2 lb this week and last. I am down 165 lbs now but still have 70. I want to break the 250 mark before going in for my 1 year post up checkup. That is five and a half pounds away. Anyone have any ideas to jump start my body without making me want to eat the entire fridge? I have been exercising 3 times a week - treadmill, up to a 18 minute mile for at least 20 minutes, I tried to run but have almost given myself black eyes (my cup size have not shrunk on my breasts....now they are saggy gym socks that are dangerous when running)... I will post a pic soon, I keep forgetting, I really have changed.....

165 lbs is great!! You will have plateaus. It happens. But will eventually get going again. How many calories are you getting? Too many or too few will cause a plateau. Also the protein needs to be HIGH, around at least 90g and tons of water. Good luck, and keep us posted. Wendy

My suggestion would be to up your protein and water. I had the same thing happen to me a couple months ago so I upped my water to 100ozs a day and 90 gms or more of protein a day and I started loosing again. I lost 10 lbs in April and still counting for the month of May. Good luck and make sure you measure too. You may be loosing inches instead of pounds. Shelley

I've been on a plateau since last month. Just keep pushing. Congrats on your new family member!
