I have several conditions that I was wondering if there is a common experience. First, I feel great, walk, play golf, up and down stains, all good. 216 lbs down from 360 and so happy, However, there are two issues: 1) Diarrhea - constant and smelly . 2) Leg cramps every morning at 4:30 AM . Any suggestions. I am taking multivitabmins, calcium, eat yogurt, meat, eggs, no protein power or supplements, only use soy milk.....

You have the opposite from most of us, who are usually constipated. Does your multivitamin have iron in it? I think that will harden your stool. Up your protein and that will do it too. As for the leg cramps, usually that means your potassium is low (so I've heard) however, I had weakness in my legs and back due to rapid weight loss also, and I had to go thru physical therapy (early on). Good luck!

I have no idea. I had diarrhea alot in the beginning but not any more. Sorry that you are still having problems with this. It would probably help more if you posted this on the main board. I'm sure there are several people that have had similar issues. Good luck. Dawn

I know this sounds silly, but alot of people swear that if you put a bar of soap in your sheets by your legs, it will get rid of leg cramps! Look it up, the local paper here has a doctor in it that is always recommending it to people. Wendy

I can usually trace my problems with diarrhea back to certain foods. In my case too much dairy, fats, roughage, and/or sugar alcohols will set it off. If your diarrhea is constant, this could dehydrate you and cause the problem with the cramping. When I have problems with cramping, increasing my intake of fluids and suplimenting sodium and potassium usually takes care of it. Something you can try that has worked for me is using Morton's Lite Salt (Sodium/Potasium mixture). Use it as a replacement to your table salt or you can even mix a couple of pinches of this in with some Crystal Lite and not even notice a change in taste (I call this my sugar free Gatorade).
