update:sugeon visit, plateau busters and tragedy in my family
Hi everyone,
I havent posted in a while. Life has been really crazy and really sad for me lately. My sisters husband was killed in a plane crash here in georgia this last week and we have all been dealing with the funeral and everything else that goes with that. He was only 40 years old and left my sister and her two little girls. So sad. Please keep my sister and her daughters in your prayers this is very difficult for them. I did some emotional eating this weekend. But I am back on track now. It was weird to eat stuff that I know is bad for me. I knew that I was doing it but didnt have the will power to stop it. But I have it back under control now. Just a bad weekend. I went to see the surgeon yesterday for a gall bladder ultrasound and he said everything looks fine. He said my pain could be muscular skeletal from the rapid weight loss or it could be spasms in my gall bladder. Either way I was just relieved to find out I didnt have to have surgery again. I was not looking forward to that. His office is an hour away from me so they let me make this appointment my one year check up. He was very pleased with my progress. I have lost 130lbs and 79.4 percent of my excess weight. He and my nutritionist said that I am ahead of schedule. I was happy also. I also dont have to go back for a year and that makes me happy also. I hate having to get someone to cover my daycare so I can go to doctors appointments, it will be nice to not have to worry about that for a while. And last but not least I will update you on my plateau buster diet. I did not stay on it the whole 10 day(lots of different reasons) but I was really happy with the 7lbs I lost until the next week when I added carbs back in and I gained back 3lbs. Oh well 4lbs was still a good loss for a week. My nutritionist explained why that happens something to do with protein and dieurtics but anyway that is how it worked for me. I am still about 10 or 15lbs from my personal goal but I will get it off eventually. Well that is the good and bad news. I am going to a cabin in north georgia with some friends this weekend so if I dont post that is where I am but I will be back on Sunday. We are having a memorial for my brother in law on Sunday afternoon at his church so I am coming home for that. I will check in later. Hope you all have a great weekend

Glad you are updating us on things.
I am very sorry to hear about your brother in law. It is always sad for children to lose a parent. I will pray for your family and especially the kids.
Keep letting us know how you are doing and don't beat yourself up for messing up. Sometimes we need to fall back into a comfort zone. It is nice knowing that this surgery helps us get back control.
Love,
Wendy

Lynn,
I am so sorry to hear this. My prayers are with you and yours.
The plateau buster probably would have worked, had I not gotten so constipated. I spent forever trying to unclog. I finally dropped a couple of pounds this week, but I had a virus, so hopefully it wasn't just cuz of that.
Take care.
