Topic: Gallbladder & Other Complications?!?
Hey everyone. I had my surgery on 6/9/04. I have had no complications yet - other than the normal hair loss, which thankfully has stopped and is growing back well.
Some people in my support group have had complications such as hernias, or having to have their gallbladder out. I would like to hear from my JUNE post-ops... what have your medical complications been, and when did they happen?
The main reason for this question is that yesterday I started having a strange stomach ache about 1:30 in the afternoon. I had only eaten a few bites of something that I have eaten quite a few times since surgery, so I don't think that was the cause. At 3pm I had to go home cuz I was in such pain. I could not drive to the ER, and by the time I got home and laid down (for 3 hours, waiting for my hubby to get home to take me to the ER) the paid had subsided, a bit. I kept moist heat on my tummy until 9pm, and soothed it a bit with hot tea. This morning I am feeling better. It just scared me!
Anywayyyyyyyyyyyy...long story short, have any of you had to go to the ER for pain? Please let me know! Thanks!!

Hi,
You and I are so close in our starting weight & surgery dates. I was 289 to start & an currently at 173. My surgery was 06/30/04. My goal is also to get to 149. Do you plan on having a TT when you get to goal? I absolutely need one. I can wear a size 13 jeans but if I didnt have all this extra skin I'm sure I could be in a smaller size. I have a dress thats a size 12 I have to fit into by June 18th because I'm a bridesmaid. I'm so afraid it wont fit by then! It has about 3 inches to go before it zips around the rib cage. YIKES!

woooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooo Can it be?!?!? Yep...13 more lbs to go, and that is 10%, so I guess I HAVE lost 90% RIGHT ON!!!

Breakfast: 1/4c eggbeater with 2 slices of ff cheese, 1 soy sausage and a few grapes (About 22g protein)
Lunch: 1/2 c ff cottage cheese with sf pears and 1 slice of ff cheese
(about 20g protein)
Dinner: Low Carb Penne Pasta (about 5 pieces) with ground beef and sauce. Dessert was 3 ritz crackers with peanut butter and sf jelly and a few grapes.
