Topic: How much can you eat at 10 months out?
I feel like I eat too much at times. I am 5'7 and have gone from 281 to 165 in 10 months. I wear a size 12 now as I did back in college 11 years ago. I do not think I will lose too much more. I have alot of skin around my stomach so the last 10-15 lbs I have to lose will have to be lost with a tummy tuck. Anyway, when I am at work I eat better than when I sit at home. Generally, I eat 2 small breakfast quiches or dobie muffins (the recipes are under the cooking and baking section) for breakfast. Lunch is probably a frozen lean cuisine dinner, if I go out for lunch(which I do 1-2 times a week) it might be a $1 menu salad from Mc Donald's with $1 chicken sandwhich ( I remove the bread and then cut it up and add it to the salad) or a cup of chili, or 1/2 a 6 inch turkey sub from subway, for snack a 1/4 cup nuts or trail mix and for dinner some kind of meat like baked chicken and a few veggies. If I am hungry after dinner I may have a protein shake, NSA vanilla icecream with 1/2 cup flat A&W diet rootbeer and protein powder or a cup of carbcountdown milk with NSA Nestle quick. What do you think??? How much do you eat at 10 months out? I must admit some days are better than others. I do dump when I have too much sugar or carbs so I try to monitor my carbs and sugar levels, but I can eat mostly anything in moderation. When I eat out I eat far less than when I eat alone. The slower I eat the faster I get full. The quicker I eat the more I eat. Does that make sense?I am sometimes hungry within 3 hours after I eat. Head hunger is annoying. I am just a little worried because I know a few people who have gained back their weight a few years out and I don't want that to happen to me. Any input is greatly appreciated.

What a ride! I'll be 10 months on the 29th and just can't believe the life change this surgery has made for me. I started at 386 -pre class and 368 at the date of surgery. I'm at 198 this morning and that's 170 pounds since surgery 191 since I started working towards good health! The thought of being almost a "normal" weight is so exciting. I can't even begin to think about a goal weight. I'm 5'8" and can't believe that I'm under 200 pounds! I can keep up with my daughters for the first time in many years. I love walking and even am looking forward to buying clothes...even a swimsuit! The difference it has made in my relationship with my family is remarkable. My husband and I have never been closer.. He's so happy that I'm feeling like being a part of all the family activities.. I know that this has been the best 10 months of my life! It's not been easy, I've had problems adjusting to my new tolerances, but so worth it. I hope that I can encourage others that are afraid of taking a chance to consider the surgery... I just can't believe how successful it has been for me!

It doesn't seem possible that it has been 10 months already. I have lost 160 pounds. I can do so much now that I haven't been able to do in years. I feel so much better. I have hope that I will make it to my goal weight whatever that ends up being. Congratulations to all my fellow June bugs, All my best, Kathy 383.5/223/Healthy But healthy better start with a 1

Well I see you are all doing so well and maybe after my little butterfly's arrival I will be able to get back on track. I started at 240 and as of February 1st had lost down to 162. I'm now at 170 something. I sooo hope to lose down to 130-140..maybe even 120 after the arrival. We will have to wait and see.

Hi Everyone!! First I want to say we all ROCK!!! I started out at 300 pounds and down to 176 this morning. I have a couple more days until 10 months. I am wearing a size 10 jeans and XL top...still have the boobs. I have one more pound until my doctors goal but I want to lose maybe 10 or 20 more. Courtney 5'10" 300/176/165?

I LOVE Power Crunch! They are the perfect snack when I want something sweet. No guilt because they're low carb (used to have 7 grams of sugar, now only have 4 grams) and the 14 grams of protein is not too shabby! My favorite is the wild berry cream, with cookies and cream a very close second

Hi everyone-- Happy 10 month anniversary! Mine is next week....and I couldn't be happier. I have lost 110 lbs. and I am at GOAL! My BMI is 21.9. I went from 235 lbs. (size 20) to 125 lbs. (SIZE TWOOOOO!!!) I wear size petite small in all tops. Even my shoe size went from an 8 to a 7! People are constantly telling me that I am TINY, which is just freaky! Me, tiny? Nooo! I can see my ribs, hipbones, shoulder blades, etc. I really am so thankful for this surgery, and truly believe it has given me a new life. I am so happy all the time. I feel great, my blood work was great, and I can eat pretty much anything. I am diligent to avoid sugar, since I dump so easily, even from sugar free things at times. Sugar alcohols make me very woozy too. I'm happy about that--keeps me on the straight and narrow because I hate how it makes me feel! Shopping for clothes is a joy and a pleasure, and also a big drain on my bank account! Everything fits and looks good! It's hard to decide what to leave at the store and what to take home!!!!
